The Engineer

This documentary will explore the pioneering design approaches developed by Adrian Reynard and the team at Reynard Racing Cars Ltd that would revolutionize the world of motorsport and shock established elite competitors Van Dieman, March, Ralt, Lola, Panoz, Ford and Penske. The conflict and adversity which pervaded the company and the motorsport world will be discussed, from top talent leaving to rival teams (and with them Reynards ideas), tragic accidents, bittersweet ventures into Formula 1 and the companies eventual bankruptcy.

During it’s time Reynard gained admirable reputation for winning the first race of every category it entered, while winning more than 150 championships at home and overseas, from Formula Ford, Formula 2000, Formula 3, Formula 3000 to the 1995 and 1996 Indy-car world Series Constructors and Drivers titles. Now, in his early 70’s, we watch as Adrian designs and builds a World Record breaking motorcycle 50 years after his previous World Record attempts, using the latest in CFD & Wind tunnel developments.
